The form of student internships is decided by the Dean in consultation with the relevant degree programme directors.
The recommendations for student internships were specified in the letter of Prof. Katarzyna Trynda, Vice-Rector for Education and Students.
Recommentations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for internships at 1st cycle studies, 2nd cycle studies and long-cycle studies (2 September 2020)
Decisions on the form of internships zawodowych are taken by the University authorities. However, they do it in consultation with employers, taking the current epidemiological situation into account. The ultimate decision on introducing online classes should depend on the specific nature of study programme and internships. Not all types of internships can be conducted remotely. In this situation, the University can offer either a different way to implement the learning outcomes (e.g. simulated classes conducted by the academic staff or practical projects carried out by students under the supervision of academics), or moving the internships to a later date.
The introduced solutions for internships, however, cannot have a negative impact on the situation of students. It is not allowed to require students to pay for repeating the internship or impose other consequences, e.g. conditional pass for the next academic year.
